Off-site Supervision

Off-site Supervision Department is under the General Directorate of Supervision, whose role is to regularly supervise, monitor, and analyze the operations and review periodic financial reports of banks and financial institutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and safe and sound banking practices. In order to monitor and analyze banks and financial institutions, the Off-site Supervision Department works in close cooperation with the On-site Supervision Department to supervise using risk-based supervision and forward-looking approaches in the form of “Supervisory Strategy” which assesses each element of CAMELS and inherent risks, and an early warning system to take prompt corrective actions. Besides these duties, the Off-site Supervision Department's other main role is to review and respond to requests from banks and financial institutions.
