On May 7, 2015, H.E. Chea Chanto, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, warmly welcomed Ms. Sonali Jain-Chandra, the new Mission Chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Cambodia. H.E. Governor briefed her about the Cambodia’s robust economic and banking sector development in the past years. Meanwhile, Ms. Sonali Jain-Chandra has congratulated these remarkable achievements and highlighted the crucial role of banking system in contributing to economic growth. She is optimistic on the 2015 Cambodia’s economic growth, resulting especially from the successful structural reforms and effective implementation of key policies in the context of political stability and macroeconomic stability.
