Central bank Governors' meeting "Four Countries-One Destination" Conference in Yangon, Myanmar

From July 30th to August 1st, 2016, H.E. Chea Chanto, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, led the delegation to attend the the Governors' meeting and events of the Four Countries-One Destination Conference on Connecting Tourism and Expanding Cooperation in Banking Sector in Yangon, Myanmar. Ministers of Tourism and Governors of Central Bank of CLMV countries, namely Cambodia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Socialist Republic of Vietnam, participated in this conference with the presence of Deputy Priministers and Vice President of CLMV. The Events were organized with the aim to enhance tourism promotion among CLMV, to attract Foreign Direct Investment, to promote CLMV as an attractive single destination and to expand the cooperation in banking system. 

Furthermore, the Central Bank’s Governors of CLMV agreed to intensify their efforts to achieve meaningful progress in the banking sector cooperation under ASEAN framework. The Governors also supported the establishment of a working group on strengthening cooperation and enhancing the connectivity in banking sector among CLMV countries. In addition, the Governors agreed to further enhance mutual cooperation in the areas of monetary operation, banking supervision and regulation, and technical cooperation.
